255th ACS National Meeting & Exposition

Lab member Yuan attended and presented his research work at the 255th ACS National Meeting & Exposition in New Orleans, Louisiana. The title for his presentation was “Novel Microfluidic System for Encapsulation of Equine Endothelial Colony Forming Cells for Local Cell Delivery”.

Veterinary-Engineering Collaboration Improving Equine Wound Healing

A collaborative project with researchers from College of Veterinary Medicine has focused on isolating endothelial progenitor cells in horses and delivering these autologous cells to heal distal limb wounds. The cells were encapsulated in engineered biomaterials using our custom designed microfluidic system.

Morgan attended and presented her research at the Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) Bioengineering & Translational Medicine Conference 2017 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her presentation was “Scalable Production of Human Cardiac Tissues Through hiPSC Encapsulation in Gelatin Methacryloyl”.
