ECFC Microsphere manuscript published in BMC Veterinary Research

Lipke Lab members Dr. Yuan Tian, Dr. Wen J. Seeto, and Dr. Lipke collaborated with the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine and employed ECFC microspheres in equine distal limb wound healing. We are excited to announce that this research was just published in BMC Veterinary Research and is titled, “Cell engraftment, vascularization, and inflammation after treatment of equine distal limb wounds with endothelial colony forming cells encapsulated within hydrogel microspheres”. Check out the article here. Congratulations to all Lipke Lab members and our collaborators!

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, so the Lipke Lab joined the American Heart Association and wore red on February 7th, 2020 to raise awareness and support the fight against heart disease and stroke!

Nicole plans the Graduate Engineering Research Showcase

As the Vice-President of the Auburn Council of Engineering Graduate Students, graduate researcher Nicole Habbit was heavily involved in planning and executing the annual Graduate Engineering Research Showcase. This is the second consecutive year that Nicole has planned this event and we are so proud of her commitment to representing our lab and department on campus!

Lipke Lab wins big at the Graduate Engineering Research Showcase!

For the second year in a row, every Lipke Lab researcher who presented at the Auburn Graduate Engineering Research Showcase won an award! Iman Hassani won 3rd place overall, Morgan Ellis and Ferdous Finklea each won honorable mentions, and Mohammad Hashemi won best in chemical engineering. Over 120 graduate engineering students presented at the showcase and our lab members won 4 out of 9 awards they were eligible for! Lipke Lab attends the UAB O’Neal Cancer Center Research Retreat

Our Lipke Lab cancer research team (along with our mascot, Archie the Lab lab) traveled to Birmingham to attend the UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Research Retreat! Mohammad, Benny, Iman, and Nicole (and Archie) each presented their work during the poster session competition. We had a wonderful time learning all about the cancer research efforts going on in our region and sharing our own research.
